The Controversy-There was controversy surrounding this film when it was being made. Award winning director Eli Cross who was under contract to Sex-Z Pictures got in trouble for supposedly producing The 8th Day.
(Quotes from AVN) “We have a contract that says Eli Cross is exclusive to us in the creation of any adult-themed motion picture,” Kenney told AVN. “At some point, [Cross and Adam & Eve] came up with the notion that he could produce a movie for Adam & Eve and it wouldn’t violate his contract with us.” Owner of Sex-Z Pictures, Bo Kenney was about to take legal action against Cross saying that “At first, Eli told me Ren Savant had some problems and asked him to help out for a day or two on set,”
Kenney said. “We have a contract that says Eli Cross is exclusive to us in the creation of any adult-themed motion pictures. At some point, [Cross and Adam & Eve] came up with the notion that he could produce a movie for Adam & Eve and it wouldn’t violate his contract with us. I later found out Eli was the producer of the movie, and [Adam & Eve] allege he told them that was okay. When that came out, Eli told me that yes, he had agreed to produce the movie. It’s an inconsistency.”
It all worked out in the end, both sides said nice things about the other. Legals were dropped and Eli was no longer under contract to Sex-z.
In my opinion, Eli produced one of the greatest adult movies ever during that contract- Corruption. That is a must have for any porn connoisseur”s library.
After seeing The 8th Day, I can see some elements I would identifyl with Eli Cross movies, like the cool sets and the edgy dialog, but Kylie Ireland was heavily involved in making this movie also, so who’s to say she isn’t the genus behind it, in this movie and in previous Eli Cross movies. Either way The 8th Day is worth watching.

Adam & Eve’s The 8th Day, an adult film of Biblical proportions!
by Cindi Loftus
Time is running out in this apocalyptical erotic adventure. Awakened from a cryogenic slumber, Samantha (Kayden Kross) is naked and lost in time. She starts her new euphoric and disoriented life with a foursome; consuming the android men she finds guarding her. She is so hot for them she burns out their circuits. When she ventures outside, she finds the world she used to know is gone. At first she feels lost and alone in a dirty deserted land. She happens upon a B & D tribe having rough and dominate sex. Running from them Sam ends up caught by a butcher who wants to sell her. A Scavenger girl, Mel (Amber Rayne) sets Sam free and the two set off to the Elysium Fields.
While Mel sells her wares, Sam watches a side show depiction of Adam & Eve, but much more than just an apple is eaten. A very hot threesome of Evan Stone, Darryl Hanah & Violet Marcell shows us how the to commit original sin.
Mel & Sam go to a banquet with Prince Amir (played by Ameatabh Bachan, who is the hottest guy ever in a porn movie that doesn’t do porn) and any rhyme or reason to life they thought they had is taken away.
There will be much controversy for the Biblical content used in this film, from the trashing of the word and their beliefs by Prince Amir to Kayden being tied naked to a cross and left in the desert.
I don’t want to give away the end of the story so I’ll just say there is a lot of hot sex at the end of the world. And everyone should take a look at The 8th Day. And if you want to be forgiven for watching it, bring your bible.
Best Actress- Amber Rayne,
Ameatabh Bachan best non-sex role
