Free Porn- “Only the Strong will Survive”- Op/Ed

The Scourge of Free Porn

Op/Ed by Pornster

Free Porn, Free mainstream movies, Free music, Free Software. All this is a product of the Internet. You don’t even need to be very computer savvy to download whatever you want. Just download a free software application or click on a file sharing site and Voila!, any Joe Bag O’ Donuts has all the free porn they want.

Unlike Napster, which was a “centralized” server, all the free downloadable stuff is either “decentralized”, which means they are in the form of bits and pieces any number of the millions of connected computers or they are on servers in foreign countries that don’t actively prosecute these type of cases.

Porn doesn’t have anyway to actively pursue or prosecute the people that put free porn on the Internet. Other Industries have the resources to do this, Music companies have prosecuted hundreds of people who have downloaded copyrighted songs, plus they found a way to trick people into paying one dollar for just one song for their Ipod. The Movie industry has encrypted most of their DVD’s and even the most savvy computer person finds it tough and expensive to copy Blu-Ray, at least so far. Plus, Movie companies are also introducing new 3-D Technology on thousands of movie screens in order to attract a new audience.

In other words, the Porn industry is far behind the curve. They rarely encrypt their DVD’s (it costs money, ouch) and practically every scene or DVD is available for free downloading in a matter of minutes, hours, or days of its release. Maybe some miracle will come in the future to stop all this but right now, the genie is out of the bottle and there doesn’t seem a way to put it back in. How do you stop the Internet?, it really is the World Wide FREE FOR ALL Web!

Maybe it’s not all doom and gloom as I sense this is an evolution in Porn, not an outright extinction. Far, far too long we’ve been inundated with too much porn, and bad porn at that. The smart, strong companies will survive this paradigm shift. Obviously, many of the smaller companies are either already gone or will soon be snuffed out.

In the end “Only the strong will survive”, just ask Muffia, Brazzers, Porn Pros, Hustler, and Hush Pass.
