Monica Mayhem, Now a Married Author, Not a Porn Star Anymore…

From http://www.adelaidenow.com.au

AUSTRALIA’S most famous porn star will today turn her back on her XXX-rated career in favour of married life.
Monica Mayhem, 32, who has made 400 films with titles such as West Coast Whoppers, will marry a North Shore veterinary surgeon, yesterday identified only as “Jason”.
“I don’t know how his clients will feel about him marrying a former porn star, so I’d best not reveal his surname,” she told us.
The couple met three months ago when Jason was on a night out in Los Angeles with mates.
The then LA-based Mayhem, who had a cameo role in Sex And The City, said she and the 40-year-old immediately hit it off – but she resisted the urge to leap into bed with him.
“I wouldn’t sleep with him for the first few weeks. Then we discussed how to further the relationship. Dating wouldn’t work, not with my job, so he asked me to marry him. I said yes,” she said.

Mayhem said she has given up “everything” to make a go of the relationship, her second marriage.
The couple will marry on a Harbour cruise today and Mayhem will wear a traditional white gown and be given away by her father.
“There are only 45 guests attending and I have chosen a beautiful white long formal gown with one shoulder strap and Swarovski crystal detail,” she said.
“Neither of us are religious, so a celebrant will marry us.
“I just hope we get some good weather.”
The couple will then head to Hayman Island and Lake Como, Italy, to honeymoon.
The pair are already talking of starting a family: “But not for five years or so.”

Review by Cindi Loftus

Monica’s new autobiography came out just last week, so it’s perfect timing for her to get out of the country, lol. She doesn’t hold back when it comes to telling her side of the story, bluntly and to the point.  She talks about moving to LA and getting Roy Garcia as her agent. He got her in her first hard core porn film and before she had even seen a porn movie. BUT Monica says that Roy would often yell at people and fight and argue with clients and it lost her a lot of work, so she started repping herself.

Monica talks quite a bit about her marriage to Cravin Moorehead which she sums up with “It was a two and a half year disaster”

She mentions quite a few names, but I wish she’d mentioned more… ( several times she says “a girl”) She explains why she left as a contract girl for Cherry Box Pictures (they docked her pay for spending time away from the booth at a convention, she says she was doing interviews promoting their company) so when that contract was up she was done with them. She also lets us know that while she WAS a contract girl she was dating the owner of the company.

Monica also tells several funny stories about her life on the road feature dancing, and gives us many details of her on camera sex scenes.

Except for her talking about spirituality and being a wiccan ( which bored me), it was a really well done book. Definitely worth reading.

Lots of Black and white pictures in the middle.
