Could your smartphone be the next big marketplace for prostitution? Berlin based app, Peppr uses the GPS in smartphones to connect potential clients with prostitutes in their immediate area. This app was surprisingly created by female Austrian developer Pia Poppenreiter. The idea behind the app is to save these ladies from having to pound the sidewalks for customers. It’s sounds like Tinder but for sex workers.
To make sure these sex workers aren’t part of any human trafficking chain, Peppr interviews all its clients over the phone before signing them up on the app. Peppr launched this month, it’s only avalible in Germany.
