Evil Angel Gives Kinky Vampire Saga, Porn Visionary’s Online Serial Epic, Deluxe Disc Debut On Sept. 27

September 25, 2012, Van Nuys, Calif.—When DVD consumers get their fangs into “Voracious,” they’ll find legendary XXX auteur John Stagliano’s newest creation presented with a grandeur befitting the response its multiple chapters have generated as separate episodes seen only by website subscribers. The fashionably vampire-themed movie, shot in Budapest, Berlin and Los Angeles, coalesces as a single, marathon-length motion picture for the first time on DVD. Stagliano’s Evil Angel company is releasing “Voracious” September 27 as a collector’s edition four-disc set composed of the movie, clocking in at over six hours on two discs; with extensive behind-the-scenes and bonus content on a third disc; and a music soundtrack CD as the fourth disc. A 16 page color episode guide featuring Stagliano’s photos is included.

The high-end serial movie comprises all 10 individual episodes, billed as “The Entire First Season.” While the first nine installments have been released online over the last eight months, the 10th, entitled “Es Ist Vollbracht” (“It Is Finished”), will instead premiere on the DVD box set. As online fans have awaited each new monthly installment, they’ve built a buzz for the fully aggregated movie with its many DVD extras. So, online fans and DVD consumers alike are ready to devour the “Voracious” box set.

“Voracious” awaits devotees of Stagliano’s fetish-laden, sexually intense cinema as well as fans of Gothic porn. “The Vampire lore makes for good erotica,” says the writer/director/producer. “The incredible thing about vampire movies is that you can make up many of the rules about what vampires can and can’t do. These rules are fun to fantasize about, but the important thing for me is that we create emotionally believable scenes.”

Fans and critics believe. Blogger Marv Montag calls “Voracious” a “unique and masterful vision taunting the fine intersection of wicked eroticism, pleasure and pain.” Fleshbot’s Gram Ponante adds, “As filthy as it is poignant and sexy as it is shocking.”

A host of Evil Angel directors and performers helped bring Stagliano’s vision to fruition. Says Stagliano, “Manuel Ferrara does a wonderful job in the lead, but Rocco [Siffredi] was amazing in a supporting role. The man who inspired it all and who plays the lead vampire is Omar Galanti in an almost superhuman performance.” Stagliano stresses that a couple of starlets were instrumental: “This movie came together when I got Brooklyn Lee and Lea Lexis to co-write the scenes with me. Lea was my co-producer in Budapest.”

Describing some of the action in “Voracious,” the director known as “Buttman” says, “For sure there is lots of ass play, but this is not at all like a Buttman movie in terms of style.” He refers to his award-winning, hard-core fetish-fashion trilogy when he adds, “I wanted to do another feature film like ‘Fashionistas.’”

The well-appointed “Voracious” DVD set will include a variety of promotional assets to supplement the four different promotional posters recently sent to retailers and distributors around the world. Clients will have a choice of three different O-card outer sleeves.
