We will be joining the battle for internet neutrality. Don’t worry, Porn.com is not shutting down or steaming slower. You can still wank at high speed. It just means we support the right to stream your favorite sites at high speeds. This fight is against the cable companies which are trying to slow down and sometimes break sites for profit.
The Battle for the Net is an off-shoot of Fight for the Future. The same nonprofit company that appeared during SOPA and PIPA. This Internet Slowdown is to signify internet slow lanes where some sites load slower than others depending on your internet provider. Companies like Comcast and Verizon have been known to put you in the “fast lane” for an extra fee.
Web based companies like Reddit, Imgur, Tumblr, Netflix and Kickstarter are participating by displaying the loading wheel of death to show how the FCC’s proposed net neutrality rules would create fast and slow lanes.
