Porn Stars Talk About Hot Girls Wanted

When you work in porn and a movie like “Hot Girls Wanted” all of a sudden you’re asked a ton of questions. In case you don’t know what Hot Girls Wanted is it’s a film made by Rashida Jones that follows amateur porn and young girls who decide to become porn stars.

The movie is very interesting, but it was the reaction from porn stars in our industry that really made us take notice.

They compared the experiences shown in the Netflix Doc with their own when they started as adult performers. Some porn stars connect and relate to content from the film, while others have strong opposing views. This adds news insight as it should be noted that in contrast to the performers featured in “Hot Girls Wanted”, those with comments below are established porn stars with a more professional focus. We’ll include some of those notable insights below as we hear from industry mainstays like Kacy Lane, Alice Green, Kate England and more.

Abella Danger’s stance on the video is that her heart went out to those who rushed to quickly into it and she’s scared for the girls who start because of the money and aren’t confident so they lose themselves along the way. Kacy Lane agreed with the same view point and her heart went out to the girls with hopes and dreams who got lost along the way. Kacy knows what she’s talking about and has been featured in many popular videos including the one below:

Kate England claimed she cried the entire film because she knew what being in that position was like. That being said, England identified key issues with the documentary and stated, “…this film is a very good description of how the porn industry works in Florida, but not how the entire porn industry actually is.”

Other porn stars shared England’s concerns and added more insight. Many specifically believed that the performers featured should have been more informed or that the documentary should have focused on different agencies and processes.

“Quite frankly I’m sickened by the way Hot Girls Wanted portrayed girls getting into the industry. Although they mentioned “amateur” several times, any civilian watching isn’t going to understand that that’s only half of the story. …” says Aria Alexander.

Alice Green also argued that it doesn’t show the porn world in a completely true way, “I feel like it portrayed what goes on in Miami, but not Los Angeles, which are two different worlds. Florida is home to a lot more amateur-style shooting.” She also states, “I thought it was portrayed negatively because it focuses on the in-and-out girls rather than girls who came into the industry to make a name for themselves.” The amateur style she refers to was showcased in the film and was described as a “new style” of video depicting “party girls” and their wild antics. This can be in contrast the the polished titles from LA. To put it in perspective, here’s a polished scene with Alice:

Yhivi had the most to say about the documentary and it’s portrayal in the media as what does on for adult entertainment. She explicitly states that she believes Rashida Jones intentionally chose a part of the industry for entertainment factor rather than what really goes on. “…there is a large part of the industry made up of very professional performers, agents, production teams and companies…” Yhivi continues, “I found it deeply frustrating to see a film so aggressively disregard the existence of such.”

I think that these particular or any established porn stars should team up to produce a documentary showing their insights in the XXX business. In the Netflix documentary, Rashida Jones did portray newbies as they enter the business but the models featured didn’t really have the experience needed to really tell it how it is and the whole message seemed to miss the mark. No matter your opinion on the views expressed in “Hot Girls Wanted”, it is good to see more exposure for the adult industry and how many performers start and end in the biz.
